Today I want to plant a seed in your head and that seed is that there are two paths that you can take to really get noticed and “put on” in the EDM scene. Where on one end you can pay for better education or maybe you have more funding from your family and you have the opportunity to allocate that money into areas that will help you grow faster. Or… you can not be as fortunate and have to figure it out the long and hard way like many of us had to do starting out.

And our guest on the show today, Ruvlo who has been killing it with collabs with Slushii, Crankdat, and landing festival slots like Bass Canyon and Lost Lands says that when he started, he unfortunately had to take the long and hard road. But luckily for him, he sees this as a positive because without the struggle he believes that he wouldn’t be putting out the same quality of music that he has in the past few years. But it still made me wonder, what did do differently to make himself really stand out from his peers who are also in the earlier phases of their careers?

So, today he breaks down all of what he has done differently and his story of how he has built his career from the bottom - up without any education or money behind him to help take his career to the next level.
