Today we are welcoming back the life coach who gave me the push to start this podcast Nik Cherwink!

Nik has been an artist since he was 10 years old, he has worked professionally in the music industry for over 13 years, helped build a music production company, and coached over 100 artists along both their personal and career paths.

But over the past couple of years, there have been some major life changes for Nik. He changed directions with his coaching away from artist and into “men’s work”, he went through a break up a little over a year ago, and even moved away from where he lived in San Diego and into a new spot in Austin Texas. 

Today Nik explains how the past few years have felt like a journey, one where he needed to get into the darkest depths of sadness and depression to the point where he needed help and support from the people around him. 

He relates all of this experience to what is known as “The Hero’s Journey”. (The hero's journey, or the monomyth, is the common template of stories that involve a hero who goes on an adventure, is victorious in a decisive crisis, and comes home changed or transformed.)
