Developing any sort of project in the music industry IS NOT EASY! You have to have a cohesive brand, know how to network, learn how to market yourself on social media and create content that adds value to not only you but the audience that you build along the way, the list goes on… 

But what if someone was trying to take creative control over your project and what you ultimately wanted to create for yourself. The mere thought of this scares the shit out of me and I personally would never want someone else to be able to tell me what I could and couldn’t create. 

Now, that’s not to say I wouldn’t want feedback and suggestions from my audience because I love the feedback you guys give me and I want to tailor this show to what you guys want to see from us. But for someone to try and tell you what you can and can’t create is a whole other story.

And that is exactly what our guest “Just A Gent”, had to battle as he began growing his project into what we know him as today. In this episode we discuss how he even got as far as firing his entire team and his thoughts on what the true role of a manager is because at the end of the day, a manager should work for the artist AND NOT the other way around.
